This is our wild spec ad for LiquidDeath.com that riffs on those classic “Mentos Freshmaker” commercials. But instead of minty miracles… sparkling water unleashes total chaos!

I made it ENTIRELY with Google’s FREE Whisk AI image generator & Flow AI video generator. No budget, no crew… just prompts and vibes!

First, I write a rough script/outline for the AI commercial in a Google Doc. This can be as simple as describing your vision for each scene, specific character details, dialogue, and camera movement.

Next, I paste each scene (1 at a time) into Google Gemini chat. I start each scene with the following prompt text: “You write perfect Google Nano Banana text to image AI prompts. Rewrite the scene below as a correctly formatted prompt for the opening scene frame image:”

Then I paste the prompt into Google Whisk. All these Google AI tools can be found at: https://labs.google

How to Create AI Image in Google Whisk

Make sure to upload product images, characters, or subjects you want to keep consistent and/or include in the AI image (add images via the “Subject” option in the left sidebar, think of it as your “reference image”).

Finally, before hitting enter, toggle on the “Precise Reference” setting to use the latest Google Nano Banana image model.

Then I paste each scene + Whisk image (the starting frame for each scene) into Google Gemini chat. I start each scene with the following prompt text: “You write perfect Google Flow Veo 3 image to video AI prompts. Rewrite the scene below as a correctly formatted prompt:”

How to Create AI Videos in Google Flow

In Google Flow, I select the “Frames to Video” prompt option, upload the first frame image, paste in my image to video AI prompt, select the “Veo 3.1 – Fast” AI video model, and then hit enter.

Finally, I use Camtasia video editor to edit together the AI videos + audio generated by Google Flow. It took me <6 hours from script idea to final cut. Watch the final AI ad below!
